5.1%, 9.3%, 15.9%, and 13.1%. Those are Marco Rubio's totals from Mississippi, Michigan, Idaho, and Hawaii last night. He won zero (0) delegates to the Republican National Convention last night. Despite literally all of the establishment support, despite a party who's professional class has done all but force him on the Republican voters, Marco Rubio has no support. People won't vote for him. Oh sure, I still have Republican staffer friends who tell me how well he does in polls against Hillary Clinton, but frankly I'm not impressed by polls of hypothetical match-ups. Marco can't connect with voters. He can't reach people who live in the real world. He's a bad candidate.
He's a bad candidate who's career is about to get blown up in his home state. Donald Trump is beating him badly in his home state of Florida. Marco has to win Florida to save face, let alone win the nomination. If he stays in and wins, even this pipe dream about him running for Florida Governor in 2018 is badly wounded. If he drops out now, with all the early voting that has happened in his state, he will be further injured beyond his record of not showing up for work in the U.S. Senate on the behalf of Floridians. In short, Marco is damned if he does, and more damned if he doesn't.
Just another day in the campaign of Little Marco Rubio.
