One of the fastest growing, most diverse states in the union, Georgia may soon find itself as the "battleground of the South" in national elections. For now though, it is a conservative-leaning state that hosts a major primary for both parties tonight.
Democrats:
Don't expect this to be close. The RCP average shows Hillary Clinton leading by an average of 37%, and that even could be low. African-Americans will be the dominant voting bloc here, and Clinton has the kind of overwhelming edge that she did in South Carolina. Obviously watch Metro-Atlanta for the bulk of the votes, but keep an eye on Savannah too. Clinton should breeze to a victory here.
Republicans:
Don't look now, another Donald Trump blowout. His leads range from 7-19% in the state, and he's averaging a double-digit win. The Republican Primary should resemble Alabama's, with the only real difference being that Rubio and Cruz may pick up some votes in the Atlanta suburbs. Trump does very well though across this state, and should be expected to win here tonight.
