Hillary Clinton is the devil. That's what you'd think if you talked to some Democrats. They call her a Republican, a fascist, a corporatist, the establishment, and everything up to and including "the Ice Queen." They don't want her. They didn't want her in 2008, against a candidate who held very similar policy positions. They don't want her in 2016 against a self-described socialist. They don't want her, ever.
Look, I will whole-heartedly admit that I am both voting for Clinton, and would be absolutely fine with voting for Bernie Sanders in November if he wins. I don't find this ferocious negativity to be helpful. If for no other reason than denying the ability to govern to a neanderthal like Marco Rubio, with a Congress lead by Paul Ryan, I would vote for both Democrats. I actually tend to like and agree with both Democrats though. Do I think that Bernie's agenda is my ideal one? No. That's not because I think he's completely wrong about health care, education, or banks though either.
This idea that Hillary Clinton is a Republican is a joke though, ask a Republican. That she would be "status quo" is ridiculous. That she is reasonable enough to operate within the confines of what "can be done" is not a reason to call her a corporatist. Most of these attacks are silly, and frankly don't come out of reality. Again, if you think Hillary Clinton is a conservative, you should ask a conservative if they agree.
