Congratulations Freedom Patriots

When you've been a school for 50 years, you should get to do some winning. For Freedom High School in Bethlehem Township, it's becoming common though. A few years ago they were in the district final, last year they were good, and this year they got a share of the EPC title. Don't take all of your winning at once guys. This congratulating Freedom thing is becoming too common lately- last year it was congratulating them for their first win in wrestling over Easton, ever, and now it's this. It's fair to say that the Patriots' sports teams are improving all of a sudden.

Speaking of Easton, the Yankees are coming to town next week for the District 11 playoffs. Easton will make it's 17th district playoff appearance in 18 years next Friday night against the 9-1 Patriots at Bethlehem Area School District Stadium. Freedom beat Easton in week nine in overtime, at BASD. If there is one place Easton has had a lot of bad nights in the playoffs over the years, it's BASD.

Congratulations to all of Bethlehem actually. Freedom and Liberty will host PIAA AAAA playoff games this coming weekend, Bethlehem Catholic will host a AAA playoff game, and Notre Dame will host a AA game.
