A Great Regular Season Comes to a Tough End for the Hounds

It was definitely a tough assignment, but Moravian's football team met tough assignments all year. Going into arch-rival Muhlenberg's Scotty Wood Stadium on a chilly November day, with an NCAA Playoff bid on the line with a victory was a tall assignment. Still though, after such a good season, you thought it was possible.

The Hounds were down 22-0 by halftime, and the game was never in question. The Mules kept control of this rivalry for another season, and denied Moravian an NCAA Division III playoff berth. By the time Moravian scored their second touchdown in the fourth quarter, they were down 28-14, and there was very little doubt about the outcome. It was tough to watch as a Moravian fan.

The Hounds will play in a Centennial-MAC Bowl game next week. The post-season has been a foreign place for Moravian in recent years, so Moravian fans should be elated. Next season the game will be in Bethlehem, and hopefully the good guys will get the victory.
